The cooperation among partners was very successful creating the conditions for further collaboration. In addition, the results on the six sectors proved to be crucial for the regional development and the policy making for the involved regions. The activities of the project, were in line with the Lisbon and Gothenburg strategies, have ushered in a new era in the Ionian Sea, by bringing the two sides in close collaboration in six, leading for the economic, social and political development, strategic sectors.

   On the other hand, some weak points of the project were revealed such as the small duration of the project, which was twenty one months. Another weak was the broad spectrum of the activities concerning six sectors in combination with the labor force power and immigration movements.

   The achievements of the project seem to be encouraging. The partners found an ideal way of communication and collaboration, the studies and the pilot projects consist facts for further exploitation by the partners, local, regional and governmental authorities. Two Networks were created, the growth Network consisted of local authorities, NGO, University Laboratories, Institutes, Business Organisations SMEs and etc. and the Immigration Network. Partners along with the Network nodes developed common ways in acting and collaborating, which are in line with the Lisbon and Gothenburg agendas.
